Iwate University International Student Alumni Reunion in Bangkok
(2017.08.02)
Iwate University International
Student Alumni Reunion in Bangkok was held on July 29. Seven former students
from Thai, one from China, vice president Matsuo Uemura, and two staff from
Iwate University attended this event.
During the reunion, Uemura-sensei
introduced recent news and topics about Iwate University such as integrations
of master courses into the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS). Alumni exchanged
their memories in Iwate University and gave Iwate University staff their
feedback of their student life in Iwate University. “The cold and nice weather” or
“lots of events for International students” were described as their good
impressions of Iwate University. Former students still like Iwate University
and even some of them are eager to enter Iwate University again for their
higher education. We had a good discussion together. A slideshow which was created by a
Thai student currently studying in Iwate University gave the highlight of the
event. The alumni appreciated every picture taken in their second hometown,
Morioka, Iwate. Iwate University look forward to
seeing you all again and will make effort for keeping our friendship last long.
